ROLE OF BOWLERS IN T20

Twenty-twenty or the T20, in whatever way it is called, this new form of cricket has won a million hearts in a very short period of time and became as famous as its original version. It has been a general thought that this particular form of cricket is mainly depended on the batsmen alone and not on the bowlers. It is because T20 is based on the technique of scoring as much runs as possible in a short span of over.

However, one cannot deny the fact that the success in a 20 over game depends on the bowling tactics also. In the first T20 world cup, India became the champions. They would not have tasted the fruit of success without the efforts put by the Indian pace bowlers and spinners. New teaching and training methods should be brought into practice in order to provide sufficient training for the pace men. Modern technologies include the separate coaches for bowlers and the introduction of pace machines. These pace machines are paving the way to give sufficient practice for the bowlers in order to improve their bowling standards. Bowlers should be trained not only to take wickets, but also to contend the middle over in the game. A good economy stat for any bowler is one of the most important factors in the list of performance indicators.
