India made a good start in the T20 world cup in its group matches but could not maintain its momentum and eventually lost its way. It was out at the super 8 stages and could not win even a single match against their opponents in that stage. What may be the reason for this disastrous outing?. Many critics attribute this loss to the fatigue factor. The indian caravan has been moving around the globe for more than two years continuosly without a break. And still there are lots of mathes and tournaments scheduled for the near future.Should they not be given a break??.
Players are human too and they need some time off to re charge themselves!. Will BCCI ever get this?.They want to make more and more money and seldom think about the team or the injured players. And the players inturn hide their injuries for the fear that they may be showed the door!.This attitude should change if we are to be a consistent winning team.Hope everyone gets it right.

OBSESSION OF CRICKET

It is mentioned in the previous posts that sports pave a great way to reduce the obsession due to the work and various other circumfactors. However, what happens in many cases is that this form of entertainment itself can cause obsession or a type of paranoia if involved in a higher subconscious level. In various countries like India, Australia and England, cricket is more or less considered and symbolized as a form of religion. In India, metropolitan cities like Kolkata, Chennai and Mumbai you can find the cricket fanatics in every street of the city. Cricket delimited itself and had grown beyond the scope of imagination. This concerned growth is mainly concentrated on the past one or two decades. Obsession for cricket has depleted the energy and power of many shining youths of India. In addition, it also caused sufficient damage to the elder generations also. Even today, we can see several people who are standing in the street-watching cricket in a public television or in a display kept at a shopping store. There obsession has increased beyond a limit that they became prioritize themselves over their form of entertainment. There are many arguments regarding this topic and its better to leave the judgment to the public itself.

UMPIRE DECISIONS

Every form of sports has its own advantages and disadvantages. Likewise, in the game of cricket also there are boons and cons. Umpires play a vital role in every sport. Their job is one of the hardest in the field. Sometimes they have to take hard decisions and in some other times, they have to make mere guesses and based on that they have to give the results. In the past, the role of the umpires played a significant part in almost all the tournaments held until date. Bad decisions given by the umpires have a great impact on the position of a batsman in the squad. Even it has changed the overall result of the game. It has eliminated various talented teams out of a tour and has given chances to many novice teams. No one can forget that the former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly has lost his captainship and lost an excellent opportunity to score even a single double-digit score throughout a series. In order to reduce the burden held by the umpires, all the new technologies should be employed to culminate the number of wrong decisions. Though the bad decision of umpires has a huge impact, we should never forget that ‘They are also human like every one of us’.
