The ringing of church bells

The ringing of church bells and the heavenly white gown of the bride brings the joyous occasion of wedding to our minds. The sharing of this moment of our lives with our loved ones adds up further delight to the event. Wedding invitations have a history. In the early ages the wedding invitations were sent through messengers who gave a vocal invitation to the members of the community to rejoice with them. As time passed and with new technologies, printing came to being and the press was used to print up these wedding invitations to be handed over to those invited. The wedding invitations come in various designs and sizes. They are generally two parts to the invitation. The outer cover that is either sealed or closed and contains the name and the address of the person invited. The inner cover contains wording that might be in the form of thoughtful quotes or an expression of invitation. It also might contain details of the people joining in holy matrimony and particulars as to the location and timing of the event to be held. The style and the materials used in the cards give an idea as to how grand the wedding might be.
